Attorney general c finlayson denies he oversees the serious fraud office

Rate this Entry
Section 29 of the Serious Fraud Office Act records: Responsible Minister: For the purposes of the State Sector Act 1988 the Attorney-General shall be responsible for the Serious Fraud Office.

Good old Chris Finlayson is currently attempting to deny his responsibility as Minister to oversee the SFO by claiming the Minister of Police is responsible for overseeing the Serious Fraud Office.

I asked C Finlayson two weeks ago (14th July) to provide me with sections within Law that escaped him as the responsible Minister overseeing the SFO.

True to C Finlayson's form, he has gone silent.

Paula Bennett's profile states: "She is also the Minister responsible for the Serious Fraud Office".

I think the connection to the State Sector Act 1988 and the A-G relates to the SFO employment issues rather than oversight.

ACCENTED LAW IS THE ONLY LAW IN POWER AT PRESENT. AS IT STANDS, THE AG CHRIS FINLAYSON IS THE MINISTER RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SERIOUS FRAUD OFFICE

Justice111: Suggest you contact Paul Bennett who states she is the Minister responsible for the SFO and also contact the SFO who's Official Web site states "Our Minister Hon. Paula Bennett"

    Please post their response.
